The Fountain is one of the oldest public houses in Chichester, opening its doors in 1798. The pub is built against the famous Roman city wall which is still visible within the building itself. Here at The Fountain we offer traditional pub food, great beers and fine wines.
Full of rustic charm, this delightful public house in Chichester has a lovely and spacious restaurant area, two large open fires, a large outdoor heated courtyard and parking just to the rear of the building. Situated only a few moments away from Chichester Cathedral and the main shopping area; The Fountain is a traditional pub with a warm feel, full of character & charm.
At The Fountain we have a weekly list of different events and special evenings for you to enjoy. These include local live music, ranging from soft acoustic blues to established rock, funk & soul bands. We also host 2 very popular pub quizzes.
